Use Guide
1. Lay your Foraging Food Mat down and sprinkle dry food or treats on top 1-2 times per day.
2. Pass your hand over the mat once or twice to allow food to fall under the mat’s fabric loops - this will make the feeder mat more challenging.
3. Allow your dog to forage through the mat until all the food or treats have been found!
4. Take the mat away if necessary and praise for having found all the food :)

Hand wash with mild detergent and water, or easily spot clean with a damp cloth after each use. For a deeper clean, the mat is also machine washable, though we recommend washing it on a delicate cycle and air drying to maintain its shape and integrity.

Perfect for puppy meals and sniffing time!
Our golden retriever puppy is a mad girl when it comes time to eat! We've tried the slow bowls and she was still incredibly quick. I've also looked at different snuffle mats but wasn't convinced they would hold up as well-- enter Sniffs Mat! We've only used it for two meals, but she's MUCH slower and it really does help calm her down. I love the material, it's well made and designed, and I think will last us a long time. Thanks Sniffs!

Great for environment enrichmentI
It was a spontaneous purchase - I didn't read the reviews or anything about it, I just knew siff matts are very good for mental stimulation for dogs. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the matt - it is a decent size, has rubber bottom, good quality stitches - no threads are sticking out. As my dog is on a raw diet, I only use it to hide small treats and my dog absolutely loves to find them. He just lays down with his nose deep in it and after he's done, just passes out.

A tail of two dogs and their mats…
I purchased two feeding mats, one for my bernedoodle and the other for my son’s. I’m currently watching his bernedoodle, so I have both dogs and mats here, and the dogs LOVE them. It takes mine about 10 minutes, versus 30 seconds in the past, to eat her food. My son’s pup really likes to stretch it out. He wags his tail the entire 25-35 he spends on his mat. They both finish their meals by laying across the mats, to savor every last bit.

Ditch the bowl! Sprinkle your pup’s daily food on top of the mat and let them sniff it out instead. If your dog eats wet food, try low-calorie training treats with your mat. Outside of mealtimes, dry treats work great as well.

Use a rag and some mild detergent and water to spot clean any areas that need them, and then air dry. You can also soak the mat in clothes detergent and cold water for an hour, and then rinse out with cold water and wring excess moisture out. While we find that pups tend to be more interested in the food on their mat, if your pup is prone to tearing up fabric, we recommend monitoring your pup while the mat is in use and taking it away when it is finished.
